What is the Cost?
Purchase a Monthly Pass for either Shared use (social and friendly dogs) or Exclusive use (less social dogs or a single family with multiple dogs wanting alone time in the park). All Dog Park passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
First time visit only, ask for a trial run pass. Fondren 5 Star Kennels reserves the right to deny service or to terminate Dog Park passes when policies are ignored by dog owners. Any inappropriate encounters/behaviors are to be reported immediately to the Fondren 5 Star Kennels Office.
The purpose of the dog park is to provide a safe outdoor environment to exercise and play with your dog. To ensure the health and safety of your dog and our other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following Rules & Policies.
DOG PARK RULES
All first time park participants must register in person at Fondren 5 Star Kennels to be able to set up park reservations, purchase park passes and complete all needed paperwork. After the initial set up , a phone call to make or confirm or cancel a reservation is all that is needed.
Dogs must be healthy and free of parasites and have proof of the required current vaccinations.
Dogs that are known to be friendly and have had previous successful experiences in community dog parks may choose to enter into a group situation.
Dogs whose behavior has been classified as aggressive with other dogs, fearful or uncooperative in groups or social settings may only enter ALONE with their owner and will be designated for an EXCLUSIVE Reservation.
Females in heat may use the park alone with their owner for the duration of the heat cycle. An EXCLUSIVE reservation is required during this period of time.
Stay within eye or voice distance of your dog. Never leave a dog unsupervised in the park.
Dogs must be on leash in all adjoining spaces to the dog park.Please unleash your dog inside the chute or double gate area as you arrive. Unleashed dogs feel less threatened and the park is neutral territory.
Smile and release your anxiety and your dog will too. The level of play roughness is up to the individual owner.
PLEASE COMMUNICATE! If your are uncomfortable with the play type of the other dog(s), let their owner know, then discontinue the play.
PICK UP POOP! Sanitary stations are available and supplies are provided.
Only bring the number of dogs that you can verbally control since they will be off-leash.
Children should be under close supervision and should be taught to walk or stroll only . Running is prohibited except by the dog(s).
If your dog becomes too excited, unruly or out of your control, put him/her on leash and immediately leave the park for a cool down or time out period.
No dog food or people food allowed in the park. Training treats may be used—sparingly.
